Visitors should be prepared for unpredictable Alabama weather by wearing sunscreen and possibly bringing a rain jacket. Other things to consider bringing:

- Reusable water bottle (empty for security line, free water stations are available inside)

- Hearing protection for everyone, especially children

- Wagon or lightweight stroller for children

- Guests are allowed to bring Stadium chair or cushions for purchased reserved bleacher seating

- Lawn chairs (collapsible camping chairs are fine, but subject to search)

- Visitors may want to bring cash to purchase food, beverages, and souvenirs

In order to keep the security lines moving as quickly as possible, please take note of prohibited items while planning your day at the airshow. The following is a list of banned items that will be confiscated or cause visitors to be turned away at the gate if brought to the Red Tails Airshow:

- Weapons of any kind including pocket knives, tasers/stun guns, pocket tools, scissors, box cutters, batons (collapsible or otherwise), mace and pepper spray

- Firearms of any type (regardless of open/concealed carry permit: NO FIREARMS)

- Toys that resemble firearms

- Flammable items, and fireworks, laser pointers, noise makers and air horns

- Pets (except for service animals)

- Spray paint, silly string, aerosol containers with the exception of sunscreen/sunblock and bug spray

- Outside food, water, coolers, grills, glass containers, ceramic containers/bottles of any kind are prohibited. Aluminum cans are prohibited, however, aluminum containers are authorized but must be emptied prior to entry. Security Forces will make exceptions for medical/children needs as necessary. Medical needs must be validated; example: medical alert bracelet or prescription stating the need, etc.

- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) also known as drones, for any purpose whatsoever, are not permitted on the premises; personnel found operating and in possession of such will have UAV confiscated

- RC motorized grounds vehicles (cars/trucks, etc.)

- Walkie-talkies, HAM radios, scanners

- Alcohol, illegal drugs, medical marijuana

- Dry ice

- Bicycles, skateboards, hover boards, scooters, heelies, roller skates or roller blades- Frisbees, balloons, sport balls, beach balls, or any such projectile

- Obscene/indecent clothing, banners, signs, or other materials

- Excessively large items and bags (the only exceptions are diaper bags, small purses, and small camera bags at or below 21 inches long, 10 inches wide, 10 inches deep)

All other items may be refused after being deemed inappropriate or unsafe at the discretion of Security Forces

All visitors are subject to search by Security Forces

The gates open at 9:00 a.m and close at 4:00 p.m. The flying window starts around 11:00 a.m. Specific times for each act will not be listed due to variables such as weather, aircraft maintenance, etc., but the acts will include:

Parking Information: Only guests with an issued parking pass will be allowed to park on base. We are expecting nearly 30,000 guests to attend our Air Show. We have adequate parking and bus transportation from several off-site parking locations. We recommend you arrive early. Off-base parking lot buses will begin running to Dannelly Field at 8:00am from all lots. Please remember your lot color or name as there will be dedicated bus stops on base for each lot. Buses will run continuously. Please do not attempt to park on base without an issued parking pass or an approved handicapped parking authorization (ADA handicapped vehicle sign). Additionally, no parking is allowed on the shoulder along Hwy 80. Montgomery PD is strictly enforcing and vehicles will be towed if parked in these restricted areas.

Handicapped Parking: Enter the base at Hwy 80 (main gate) about 1 mile past the Montgomery Airport (Must have ADA sign to park in handicapped lot)

VIP/DV/Volunteer Parking: Traveling west on Hwy 80, turn left onto Richardson Road about 1/2 mile past the Montgomery Airport. (Must have an issued parking pass to park on base or Richardson Road lot).

Off Base Parking Locations:

Blue Lot: 5896 Old Hayneville Rd, Montgomery, AL 36108. Take Hwy 80 west past Dannelly Field, turn right onto Old Hayneville Road, then turn immediately left. Follow the signs to Air Show Parking Area.

Green Lot (Army National Guard Aviation Ramp): 4640 Bobby W. Hogan Rd., Hope Hull, AL 36043. Take Hwy 80 west and turn left onto Lamar Road about 1 mile past Hwy 31 and 1 mile before Montgomery Regional Airport. Follow about 1.5 miles and then turn right onto Richardson Road. Follow signs to Air Show parking area.

Yellow Lot (Montgomery Speedway): 480 Booth Rd, Montgomery, AL, 36108. From Prattville, take Hwy 31 South, turn right onto Hunter Loop Rd, turn right onto Old Selma Rd, turn right onto Booth Rd. Montgomery Speedway on your right, see Air Show parking signs.

Red Lot (ALFA Headquarters): 2108 E. South Blvd., Montgomery, AL, 36116. ALFA Headquarters located on South East Blvd directly across the street from Baptist South. See Air Show parking signs.

Purple Lot (Fresh Anointing House of Worship Church): 203 East Fleming Road, Montgomery, AL, 36105. From I 65 exit 95 and head east on Southern Blvd, go approx. 2 miles and turn right onto Court Street, go ¼ mile and turn left onto Fleming Rd. See church on your right. From East Montgomery travel west on Blvd then turn left onto Norman Bridge Rd, go ¼ mile and turn right onto Fleming Rd, see church on your left. You will see Airshow parking signs.

White Lot: Coca Cola Bottling Company: 4919 Westport Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36108. From I-65, Hwy 80 West approximately 3 miles, turn left onto Westport Blvd and follow for ¼ mile. See parking area on your left.

Q1. Is this Air Show at Maxwell AFB?

A1. No. This Air Show is at Dannelly Field.

Q2. Can International folks attend the airshow?

A2. Yes, the Red Tails Over Montgomery Air Show is open to the public.

Q3. What security procedures will be in place to ensure public safety?

A3. The airshow will have the latest state of the art security to ensure the safety of all attendees. Attendees will be asked to go through security before entering the airfield area.

Q4. Will there be designated smoking areas?

A4. No smoking in the airfield area. However, there will be designated smoking spots outside the airfield area.

Q5. Do I need a ticket to get into the air show? If so, how do I get them?

A5. The air show is FREE and open to the public, no tickets required.

Q6. Do you have a schedule of events for each day of the air show?
